Cherry tree blossom bursting into life
in the water gardens at Cliveden House in Buckinghamshire,
England. Photographed in March 2019 the emerging opening buds
herald the end of a long cold Winter and the beginning of
warmer, sun filled days ahead.
The Cherry Blossom
Festival is celebrated every year in Japan, known as ‘Hanami’
it’s the ancient tradition of going out to enjoy the blooming
cherry blossoms in parks throughout the countryside. Japan is
known around the world for its cherry blossom festivals and is
an important custom held all over the country during Spring.
In the UK open gardens up and down the country from the
RHS gardens Wisley in Surrey to Alnwick in Northumberland are
transformed by an abundance of blossom each April and May,
wherever you live you won't have to travel far to see
beautiful cherry blossoms every Spring.
