The Blackburn Buccaneer is a British carrier-borne attack aircraft designed in the 1950s for the Royal Navy (RN). It was initially produced by Blackburn Aircraft, although later officially known as the Hawker Siddeley Buccaneer when Blackburn became a part of the Hawker Siddeley Group. After a career with the navy many airframes were transferred to the RAF, where it continued to serve with distinction.
The Buccaneer Aviation Group are an organisation of volunteers who are dedicated to the preservation and maintenance of two ex-Royal Air Force Buccaneer aircraft in fast taxi condition. They are the only group in the world who are dedicated to this aircraft type. They operate the pristine Buccaneers at Bruntingthorpe Airfield base in Leicestershire, England.
