Chillington Hall is a Georgian country house near Brewood, Staffordshire. It has been the residence of the Giffard family for over 800 years. The current house was built in 1724, the park and lake were landscaped by Capability Brown in the later part of the 18th Century.
Today the Hall and Gardens are rarely open to the public, but on selected dates throughout the summer, tours of the house and parklands are available. I was fortunate enough to visit on a lovely, sunny afternoon when the early spring flowers were just emerging.
Look out for public festivals and events as well as the occasional open day if you would like to visit this site, it is also a popular venue for private events and weddings.
