Unfurl floral art features Dahlia ‘Café au Lait’. Photographed in October 2020 as the petals were unfurling, it’s one of my absolute favourite dahlias to photograph, beautiful in all its development from bud to fully open.
The flowers can be as large as dinner plates, loved by florists in flower arrangements and wedding bouquets, an absolute stunner that never fails to impress.
Dahlias are long flowering and according to The National Dahlia Society, the dahlia has been in Europe for over two hundred years arriving from Mexico to the Botanical Gardens in Madrid towards the end of the eighteenth century.
